Diet Aide I

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing friendly and courteous service to the residents. Provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed / instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.# # EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION A High School Dipoma or GED equivalency is desirable but not required. # COMPETENCIES Must be able to provide high quality work, be able to work with groups of co-workers and able to interact positively with residents. #Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.## Must be able to take and follow directions. Must continually demonstrate proper safety and sanitary techniques. # ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES: Disclaimer: Job descriptions are not intended, nor should they be construed to be, exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with the job.# They are intended to be accurate reflections of the principal duties and responsibilities of this position.# These responsibilities and competencies listed below may change from time to time. # # ######### Job-Specific Competency 1.##### Maintains proper personal hygiene in accordance with department standards. 2.##### Basic understanding of therapeutic and mechanically altered diets.#### 3.##### Sets-up trays and dining room accurately according to specified tray tickets and /or seating charts.####### 4.##### Maintains good customer service skills assuring residents understand meal choices and food is delivered in an accurate and timely manner to the resident#s satisfaction.## 5.##### Utilizes good time management skills to complete all tasks on time to assure foods are served at the right time and temperature in accordance with the department standards.# 6.##### Maintain proper stock level for individual stations and completes associated inventory tallies.### 7.##### Ensures all stored foods are stored at department standards.# This means dating and rotating all foods.# Disposing of outdated items in accordance with the department food safety standards.# 8.##### Properly uses and maintain the dish machine.# Ensures dish machine temperatures are logged per department standards.# Reports all discrepancies.### 9.##### Maintains understanding of and follows proper food safety guidelines to include but not limited to: Proper hand washing techniques, safe food preparation, safe handling of hazardous chemicals. # #



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
